The Second Turkish
Arab Congress on Higher Education will be held in Istanbul between 26-28 April
2016 in partnership of Istanbul Medeniyet University with the Association of
Arab Universities. The congress actually brings together for the second time
leaders of Turkish and Arab universities in order to promote a sustainable
process of dialogue, mutual understanding, exchange of knowledge and increased
cooperation between Turkey and Arab world.
This major event will
encourage Rectors, Presidents and Vice-chancellors to rethink the role of the
university in the current context of internationalization, address
socio-economic challenges in the region and constitute better cooperation
between Turkish and Arab Universities particularly in the areas of research cooperation,
students and staff exchange, joint degree programmes and distance learning.
