| AArU to Hold Turkish-Arab Congress on Higher Education in Istanbul in April 2016 | | 10/03/2015 |  | | On 9 March 2015, AArU Secretary-General Dr. Sultan Abu Orabi met with a delegation from Istanbul Medeniyet University.
The delegation comprised of Istanbul Medeniyet University president, Prof. Muhammet İhsan Karaman, and Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the University Prof. Orhan Davutoglu. Assistant Secretary-General Dr. Musatfa Al Basheer and Director of the Secretariat General of the association Mrs. May Wahba also attended the meeting.During the meeting, the two parts reviewed the positive results of the First Turkish-Arab Congress on Higher Education, which was held in Istanbul last April, and resulted in a number of memoranda of understanding between Arab and Turkish universities.In a related context, the two sides agreed to hold the second Turkish-Arab Congress at the level of university presidents in the period from 20-24 April 2016 in Istanbul, and to increase the number of participants in the conference from the Arab side to 200 university presidents and 50 students. | |
