Association of Arab Universities Holds Talks with Egypt-Japan University

The General Secretariat delegation of the Association of Arab Universities, chaired by the Association’s Secretary General Dr. Sultan Abu Orabi Al Adwan, held talks with the Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology as part of the procedures to examine membership for the Association. The delegation, which included the President of Alexandria University Dr. Issam Al Kurdi and President of Zagazig University Dr. Khaled Abd El-Bary, examined the infrastructure, study plan and academic programs of the University, along with the Central Laboratory for Research and the various facilities of the University. They were accompanied on the tour by the President of the Egyptian Japanese University for Science and Technology, Dr. Ahmed El-Gohary.

Dr. Abu Orabi said that the Egypt-Japan University is the first Japanese university to be established outside Japan in cooperation with foreign countries which offers both Masters and Doctorate degrees in the various fields of engineering and information technology. He stressed that the University, which is outside the Burj Al Arab area near Alexandria City, constitutes a model of Arab Japanese research, academic and university cooperation​
