AArU Organizes Workshop for Iraqi Universities on the Fourth Edition of the Arab University Ranking 2026

Amman, 20 October 2026 — The Association of Arab Universities (AArU), through its General Secretariat, organized an interactive online workshop for ranking coordinators and university representatives from Iraq to introduce the requirements and criteria of the fourth edition of the Arab University Ranking 2026. The workshop aimed to clarify participation procedures and data submission requirements, helping Iraqi universities prepare effectively for the evaluation process.

The workshop was moderated by Prof. Anas Ratib Al-Soud, Executive Director of the Association of Arab Universities, and brought together 64 representatives from Iraqi universities. It featured active engagement and discussions on the technical and procedural aspects of meeting the ranking requirements, with participants’ questions addressed throughout the session.

The workshop covered the ranking’s evaluation indicators and criteria, the use of the electronic platform, and the steps required to enter and submit the relevant data. Particular emphasis was placed on accuracy and transparency in data reporting to strengthen the reliability of evaluation results and ensure a fair assessment of participating universities.

Participants also had the opportunity to raise questions and discuss potential technical and procedural challenges related to data entry and compliance with ranking requirements. The clarifications provided aimed to streamline the process and enhance coordinators’ ability to use the platform efficiently.

This initiative reflects AArU’s continued commitment to strengthening engagement with Arab universities, providing technical guidance and support to ranking coordinators, and advancing the assessment of university performance. Through these efforts, AArU seeks to foster a culture of quality and institutional excellence, strengthen the competitiveness of Arab universities, and enhance their regional and international standing.
