AArU Participates in International Seminar on Capacity Building for University Teachers in China

The Association of Arab Universities (AArU) participated in the international “Seminar on Capacity Building for University Teachers from Developing Countries,” held from 1–14 September 2026 at Northeast Normal University in Changchun, China, under the auspices of the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China.

AArU was represented by Ms. Dina Mahmoud and Eng. Rakan Baker, joining participants from universities and institutions across developing countries to exchange knowledge, experiences, and best practices in higher education development.

The seminar addressed key areas including AI-enabled teaching and research, institutional capacity building, higher education reform, and academic development, complemented by field visits highlighting China’s experience in higher education and innovation.

AArU’s participation reflects its continued commitment to strengthening international academic cooperation, advancing institutional and professional capacity building, and supporting the development of higher education across the Arab region.
