AArU Secretary-General Participates in the Golden Jubilee Ceremony of the Federation of Arab Scientific Research Councils in Baghdad

H.E. Prof. Amr Ezzat Salama, Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities (AArU), participated in the ceremony organized by the Federation of Arab Scientific Research Councils in Baghdad to mark the 50th anniversary of its establishment, held under the patronage and in the presence of H.E. Mr. Nizar Amedi, President of the Republic of Iraq, with the participation of prominent Arab political, academic and research leaders.

The ceremony marked five decades of work in the field of scientific research, highlighting the importance of strengthening cooperation and integration between Arab universities and research institutions in support of development and the advancement of knowledge-based societies and economies.

The event brought together senior officials, university presidents, heads of scientific research councils, representatives of Arab research institutions and centers, as well as distinguished scholars, researchers and experts in scientific research and innovation.

The participation of H.E. Prof. Salama reflects the importance of strengthening integration between Arab institutions of joint action, universities and scientific research institutions, while advancing partnerships and cooperation in higher education, research and innovation. Such cooperation is essential to building a more connected Arab ecosystem capable of responding to emerging transformations and future challenges.

The Association of Arab Universities reaffirms its commitment to continued cooperation with the Federation of Arab Scientific Research Councils and other relevant Arab institutions, with the aim of strengthening the integration of higher education and scientific research, fostering knowledge exchange, and supporting the development of a more interconnected Arab ecosystem capable of generating and applying knowledge in support of sustainable development.
