The Association of Arab Universities (AArU) welcomed Dr. Safwan Al-Shayyab, Director of the Arab Council for Student Training and Creativity, at its headquarters in Amman to discuss the Council’s priorities and ways to strengthen coordination with AArU.
Prof. Anas Ratib Al-Soud, Executive Director of AArU, met with Dr. Al-Shayyab in the presence of Eng. Jihad Al-Kharráz, Assistant Director of the Council. Discussions focused on developing the Council’s programmes and student activities, expanding Arab universities’ participation, and strengthening cooperation and knowledge exchange.
The meeting highlighted the importance of enhancing students’ skills in training, creativity and innovation, while creating greater opportunities for students to benefit from the experiences of Arab universities and participate in regional initiatives.
The meeting follows the election of Dr. Safwan Al-Shayyab as Director of the Council on 15 September 2026.
The Arab Council for Student Training and Creativity, based at the University of Jordan in Amman, is one of AArU’s specialized councils dedicated to supporting student development, training and creativity across Arab universities.
