Association of Arab Universities Explores Cooperation with AMANAH HERITAGE

The Association of Arab Universities (AArU) explored avenues for cooperation with AMANAH HERITAGE in the field of digital transformation during a virtual meeting held to discuss a proposal for developing a white-label digital platform under the umbrella of AArU, in collaboration with the Dompet Aman ecosystem.

The meeting discussed the proposed launch of a six-month pilot phase, involving five universities, as well as mechanisms for scaling the platform and engaging AArU member universities, initially targeting institutions in Egypt and Saudi Arabia.

The participants also reviewed the platform’s prototype, including the services and features it could offer to students and university communities, such as educational and financial benefits, offers and rewards, travel services, training courses, and internship opportunities. The discussion also covered the proposed financial model, compliance requirements, and relevant legal and regulatory considerations.

Both parties agreed to develop a concept note and introductory materials for the platform as a basis for engaging with targeted universities. They also discussed the possibility of presenting the platform to university presidents and senior leadership during the 58th General Assembly of the Association of Arab Universities, scheduled to take place in the United Arab Emirates on 25–26 November 2026.

This prospective cooperation reflects the Association of Arab Universities’ commitment to strengthening strategic partnerships and advancing digital initiatives that serve its member universities and their communities, while promoting innovation and digital transformation across the Arab higher education sector.

The initiative also reflects AArU’s commitment to exploring innovative technological solutions that provide integrated services for students and university staff and expand access to digital opportunities across education, financial services, training, and professional development.

Through such initiatives, the Association seeks to create new avenues for collaboration between Arab universities and specialized institutions, contributing to a more connected, flexible, and digitally enabled higher education ecosystem, while supporting member universities in responding effectively to emerging digital developments and the evolving needs of their communities.
