Association of Arab Universities Explores Cooperation with SimVenture

As part of its efforts to keep pace with developments in higher education and promote technology and innovation in teaching and learning, the Association of Arab Universities (AArU) continues to explore cooperation with specialized educational technology institutions and companies to support Arab universities, develop students’ skills, and strengthen the link between education and labour market needs.

In this context, AArU held a virtual meeting with SimVenture to explore potential cooperation in entrepreneurship and innovation, simulation-based learning, and future skills. The meeting included a presentation of digital solutions designed to simulate real-world business environments and support project development and business model testing.

The meeting was chaired by H.E. Prof. Amr Ezzat Salama, Secretary-General of AArU, with the participation of Prof. Anas Ratib Al-Soud, Executive Director, and Mr. Ziad Amara, Director of Public Relations. SimVenture was represented by Peter Harrington, CEO, together with Ben Guthrie and Sadeq Faraj from the company’s Middle East team.

The discussion highlighted SimVenture’s experience in entrepreneurship education and its work with higher education institutions in the region since 2010. The company’s simulation-based learning solutions provide students with practical opportunities to explore business creation, test ideas, evaluate business models, and develop entrepreneurial thinking and decision-making skills.

Both sides discussed the role of educational technology in strengthening innovation and entrepreneurship across Arab universities, developing students’ future skills, and aligning learning outcomes with evolving labour market needs.

The meeting also explored potential areas of cooperation, including opportunities for Arab universities to benefit from SimVenture’s digital learning solutions and the possibility of developing specialized programmes and activities in entrepreneurship, innovation, and simulation-based learning.

The discussions reflect AArU’s commitment to advancing educational technology, expanding cooperation with specialized institutions, and supporting Arab universities in developing modern learning environments that foster innovation, skills development, and future-ready education.
