Association of Arab Universities Organizes Training Workshop on Artificial Intelligence Applications
As part of its strategic vision to advance digital transformation in Arab higher education institutions and enhance their readiness to embrace technological developments and innovation, the Association of Arab Universities (AArU) organized an advanced online training workshop titled “Codex, Claude, and Kimi for Work, Study, and Life”, in cooperation with Abu Dhabi University, on 28–29 July 2026 via an online platform, with the participation of more than 900 academics, researchers, and students from various Arab countries.
The workshop was inaugurated by Prof. Anas Ratib Al-Soud, Executive Director of the Association of Arab Universities, who emphasized AArU’s commitment to developing the skills and capabilities of university communities in artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, recognizing their essential role in advancing higher education and preparing universities for the future.
Prof. Al-Soud expressed his appreciation to Abu Dhabi University for its valuable cooperation and continued support for AArU’s initiatives in capacity building and institutional development. He also extended his thanks to Prof. Hamad Odhabi, Vice President of Abu Dhabi University for Artificial Intelligence and Operational Excellence, for delivering the workshop and sharing specialized knowledge and expertise with participants.
The workshop explored the latest trends and applications of artificial intelligence, highlighting the role of smart technologies in enhancing learning and work practices, improving efficiency and productivity, and supporting innovation and decision-making across academic and professional fields.
The workshop witnessed strong engagement and participation, reflecting the growing interest among universities, academics, and students in AI applications and their transformative impact on the future of education and work.
This initiative is part of AArU’s ongoing programs to strengthen cooperation among Arab universities, build capacity, promote innovation, and accelerate digital transformation, contributing to the development of smarter universities capable of shaping the future.
