Professor Anas Rateb AlSaud, Executive Director of the Association of Arab Universities (AArU), received Professor Ali Saif Al-Rimal, Vice President for Student Affairs at the University of Saba Region, Republic of Yemen, at the Association’s General Secretariat headquarters, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen communication and cooperation with Arab universities.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed prospects for academic cooperation between the University of Saba Region and the Arab universities that are members of the Association. They also discussed the programs, initiatives, and projects implemented by the Association to support higher education institutions across the Arab world, particularly Yemeni universities, in ways that contribute to the advancement of the educational process, the exchange of expertise and knowledge, and the promotion of academic excellence and scientific research.
The discussion also highlighted the importance of establishing effective partnerships that serve students and faculty members, enhance the institutional capacities of Yemeni universities, improve higher education outcomes, and strengthen the role of Arab universities in keeping pace with rapidly evolving global developments.
Professor Anas Rateb AlSaud reaffirmed the Association of Arab Universities’ commitment to continuing its support for universities in the Republic of Yemen and enabling them to benefit from the training programs, specialized projects, and scientific activities organized by the Association. Such efforts, he noted, contribute to strengthening their ability to address challenges and achieve their academic and developmental objectives.
For his part, Professor Ali Saif Al-Rimal commended the significant efforts undertaken by the Association of Arab Universities in serving Arab higher education institutions. He particularly praised the Association’s continuous support for Yemeni universities and its commitment to engaging them in the various initiatives, programs, and scientific conferences it organizes, thereby enhancing their academic presence and advancing their institutional performance.
