H.E. Prof. Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama, Secretary General of the Association of Arab Universities, conducted an official visit to Dhofar University as part of the membership assessment process, in preparation for the University’s prospective accession to the Association.
He was received by H.E. Prof. Amer bin Ali Al Rawas, President of Dhofar University, in the presence of the University’s Vice President, Dean of the College of Engineering, and Director of the International Cooperation Office, as well as Prof. Dr. Abada Sarhan, President of Future University in Egypt.
During the visit, a comprehensive overview was presented on Dhofar University’s academic journey, its colleges and programs, and its achievements in international rankings and academic accreditations. Discussions also addressed the University’s compliance with the Association’s membership standards and its role within the Arab higher education landscape.
The program included a detailed presentation on the University’s vision and its academic and research development, followed by a field tour of several colleges, departments, and the University Research Center, where the delegation reviewed the institution’s educational and research capabilities and infrastructure.
The visit reflects the Association’s commitment to upholding quality standards among member universities and expanding its network to include distinguished higher education institutions across the Arab world.
