ShanghaiRanking Excellence Program – Strategic Roadmap for Arab Universities’ Global Advancement

The General Secretariat of the Association of Arab Universities is pleased to inform you that the Association of Arab Universities (AArU), in collaboration with ShanghaiRanking, is organizing a specialized in-person program aimed at empowering Arab universities to enhance their institutional performance and strengthen their international research visibility.

The program will provide participating institutions with strategic insights, benchmarking tools, and expert guidance to support their advancement in global university rankings.

• Understanding the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) and the Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS).
• Learning about ranking indicators, methodologies, and calculation mechanisms.
• Understanding the data sources used in global university rankings.
• Exploring strategies to improve institutional performance and enhance universities’ positions in international rankings.
• Examining performance indicators at both the institutional and academic subject levels.
• Addressing common challenges and misconceptions related to the ShanghaiRanking methodology.
