The Association of Arab Universities Launches AACSB Partnership Program to Support Member Universities and Enhance Their Global Competitiveness

As part of its strategic efforts to advance the quality of higher education in the Arab region and strengthen its engagement with global academic networks, the Association of Arab Universities (AArU) has launched the AACSB Partnership Program, with the participation of a number of Arab universities enrolled in the initiative. The program aims to introduce its key components and benefits while expanding opportunities for collaboration and engagement within the AACSB global network.

The meeting was opened by Prof. Anas Rateb Al-Soud, Executive Director of the Association of Arab Universities, who welcomed the participants and expressed his appreciation for the engagement of Arab universities in this high-impact initiative. He emphasized that this partnership represents a key pillar in supporting the development of higher education institutions and enhancing the quality of their outcomes in alignment with international standards and best practices.

This was followed by a presentation delivered by Mr. Ihsan Zakri, Vice President for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, who outlined the overall framework and strategic objectives of the partnership program. The session also included a comprehensive overview of AACSB, highlighting its mission, the breadth of its global network, and the importance of active engagement within its academic community, in addition to clarifying the positioning of the partnership program within its institutional framework.

Furthermore, the AACSB–AArU Partnership Program was presented in terms of its structure, core components, and key benefits, along with the proposed implementation timeline. The meeting also featured a detailed demonstration of the “AACSB Exchange” platform, showcasing the main knowledge resources and professional communities available to member universities.

This program reaffirms the Association’s commitment to advancing high-quality initiatives and providing technical and knowledge-based support to its member universities. It aims to strengthen their institutional capacities, support their pursuit of academic excellence and international accreditation, and ensure alignment with the rapid transformations shaping the global higher education landscape.
