The Association of Arab Universities Participates in "EduTech Egypt Summit 2026"

H.E. Prof. Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama, Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities (AArU), participated in the "EduTech Egypt Summit 2026", held on 20–21 April 2026, with the participation of leading technological universities, applied technological schools, as well as a number of companies and industrial institutions, showcasing the latest solutions and technologies in education and the labour market.
The event is considered one of the largest regional gatherings specialized in technical and technological education. It brings together education leaders, policymakers, and experts, and features a dedicated job fair for graduates, in addition to an intensive two-day programme of panel discussions and workshops focused on future skills development, entrepreneurship, and labour market needs.
In his address, H.E. outlined the Association of Arab Universities’ approach to supporting the development of technical and vocational education and strengthening its integration with higher education systems, contributing to the development of flexible, skills-based and innovation-driven learning pathways capable of keeping pace with evolving labour market demands.
He also highlighted the importance of advancing technological universities and expanding partnerships with the industrial sector, drawing on successful Arab experiences in aligning educational outcomes with economic needs, thereby enhancing graduate readiness and competitiveness. He emphasized the need to accelerate the shift toward applied education through the support of technical education policies, knowledge exchange, and enhanced regional and international cooperation, alongside promoting digital transformation within educational institutions.
As part of his participation, the Secretary-General inaugurated the accompanying exhibition, where he reviewed the latest educational solutions and technologies on display, reflecting the dynamic nature of innovation in the sector and its close integration with education, training, and labour market pathways.
This participation reflects the Association of Arab Universities’ commitment to strengthening integration between technological and higher education, and to supporting the development of education systems across the Arab world in line with accelerating global transformations.
