The Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities Meets the President of Ras Al Khaimah Medical and Health Sciences University to Discuss Prospects for Joint Cooperation

His Excellency Professor Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama, Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities, met with Professor Dr. Ismail Matalqa, President of Ras Al Khaimah Medical and Health Sciences University (UAE), within the framework of enhancing institutional cooperation and developing academic partnerships among Arab universities.

During the meeting, the most prominent projects and initiatives implemented by the university were reviewed, alongside the strategic programs led by the Association of Arab Universities, foremost among them the Arab University Ranking project, which aims to advance the quality of higher education and strengthen the competitiveness of Arab universities at both regional and international levels.

The two sides also discussed possible areas of cooperation, particularly in the fields of scientific research, exchange of expertise, support for innovation, and the development of academic programs in line with labor market requirements and global developments in higher education.

The meeting was attended by Professor Dr. Anas Ratib Al-Soud, Executive Director of the Association; Ms. Lina Al-Bitar, Director of General Administration; and Mr. Ziad Amara, Director of International Cooperation at the Association.

This meeting comes within the context of the Association of Arab Universities’ commitment to strengthening cooperation with member universities, in a manner that contributes to supporting academic integration and developing the higher education system in the region.
