H.E. Prof. Amr Ezzat Salama, Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities (AArU), received Prof. Mushtaq Talib Saleh Al-Nada, President of the University of Anbar (Iraq), at the AArU headquarters, in the presence of Prof. Anas Ratib Al-Soud, Executive Director of AArU; Ms. Lina Al-Bitar, Director of General Administration; and Mr. Mohamed Ziad Amara, Director of the Secretary-General’s Office and Head of International Relations.
The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between AArU and the University of Anbar, and enhancing the university’s participation in AArU programs and initiatives, particularly in quality assurance and accreditation, research, digital transformation, capacity building, and international rankings.
H.E. Prof. Salama congratulated Prof. Al-Nada on the University of Anbar’s achievement of full unconditional institutional accreditation with a five-star level for five years, highlighting that this milestone reflects the university’s commitment to the highest standards of quality, governance, and institutional excellence.
He emphasized that this achievement represents an inspiring model for Arab universities seeking to promote a culture of quality and continuous institutional development, strengthening the University of Anbar’s position as a leading academic institution at the national and Arab levels.
Prof. Al-Nada expressed his appreciation for the role of AArU in supporting Arab higher education institutions and promoting academic and scientific cooperation among member universities, affirming the University of Anbar’s commitment to further engagement in AArU activities and programs.
The meeting concluded with reaffirming AArU’s commitment to supporting its member universities, enhancing coordination and cooperation, exchanging expertise and best practices, and empowering Arab universities to achieve greater excellence and global competitiveness.
