As part of the official visits conducted by the Association of Arab Universities to its member institutions, H.E. Professor Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama, Secretary-General of the Association, accompanied by the Association’s delegation, including Professor Dr. Anas Al-Saud, Executive Director, and Ms. Lina Al-Bitar, Director of the General Administration, visited Ras Al Khaimah Medical and Health Sciences University.
During the visit, H.E. the Secretary-General and the accompanying delegation were briefed on the university’s significant developments in recent years, reflected in its distinguished performance within the Association’s university ranking, and in the clarity of its strategic vision and ambitious plans for the coming phase, which reinforce its position as a leading institution in medical and health sciences education.
H.E. the Secretary-General praised the academic leadership of the university’s President, Professor Dr. Ismail Ibrahim Matalka, commending his efforts in developing academic programs and enhancing the integration between educational and clinical aspects. These initiatives contribute to improving the quality of educational outcomes and consolidating the university’s regional and international standing. The delegation also discussed avenues for academic collaboration and the development of strategic partnerships that support institutional excellence and strengthen integration among Arab universities.
A key highlight of the visit was the delegation’s tour of the advanced Metaverse laboratory, which provides an interactive, simulation-based training environment for clinical experiences. The lab represents a pioneering model of educational infrastructure supporting digital transformation in medical and health sciences education.
In conclusion, H.E. the Secretary-General reaffirmed the Association of Arab Universities’ commitment to continuing its cooperation with the university and supporting its efforts toward further excellence and innovation, thereby enhancing the quality of higher education and scientific research at both regional and international levels.
