ABOUT BEDAYA

About the Initiative

Bedaya brings together Arab universities, academic leaders and students to develop quality-assurance capabilities, foster a culture of excellence and support continuous improvement in higher education.

Drawing on the experience of the Egyptian New Beginning for Education Quality, the programme has been redesigned for Arab higher education institutions. It brings together universities, academic leaders and students through structured quality-awareness and capacity-building activities.

FIVE FOUNDATIONS

Five foundations

01

Quality is a culture before it is a procedure

Quality is built through participation across the university community, not through regulations alone.

02

Capacity is a sustainable investment

Students and faculty gain capabilities that can translate into real institutional improvement.

03

Complement national systems

The initiative cooperates with competent authorities and does not replace national accreditation.

04

Arab cooperation and exchange

Share successful practices and build professional networks across universities.

05

Follow-up and continuity

Professional development, follow-up and measurement continue beyond the forums.

TWO REGIONAL PATHWAYS

Two regional pathways

The initiative separates the student pathway from the faculty/quality-team pathway, with continuing professional development beyond the events.

Arab Quality Experts

Day two · Arab institutional accreditation forum
